Are your candles all-natural?
Fun fact: it’s actually impossible to have a truly “all-natural” candle! Absolutely nothing about making candles is a natural process. That being said, you can get pretty close. We use pure soy wax with soy-based additives in all of our products. Soy is a sustainable, more eco-friendly wax (and it supports American farmers) that burns much cleaner and slower than paraffin. This means that your candles will last longer.
The fragrance oils we use are all high-quality, phthalate-free, and free from any of the toxins on California's Prop 65 list. We use only cotton wicks with paper cores. We strive for all of our products to be as clean as possible and we will always be transparent about the ingredients we use.
Is all of your packaging recyclable?
Yes! We have spent a considerable amount of time ensuring that our business is as eco-friendly and low waste as possible. Our shipping boxes, paper wrap and paper packing tape are recyclable, and our packing peanuts are biodegradable and can be dissolved in water. Empty candle jars can also be recycled after removing any leftover wax, and plastic clamshells can be recycled. Our bubble mailers are 100% compostable as well, they will start to break down after 12 months.
Why does my candle/melt look "cloudy"?
This is called frosting. Frosting occurs when a white crystalline layer forms on the surface of natural waxes such as soy. This is a completely normal thing, and happens as a result of the wax trying to return to its natural state. It does not affect the burn quality at all.
Why is my candle/melt starting to yellow?
SCIENCE! Fragrances that contain a high content of vanillin will eventually begin to yellow while just sitting on a shelf, especially in a well-lit room with either artificial or natural light. Because we don't use dyes or additives to cover up naturally occurring reactions like frosting and yellowing, they are more prominent in our products. We hope you understand :)
I don’t like what I ordered... can I return it?
Due to the nature of many of our products, we cannot accept returns. If you are unhappy with any portion of your order, please reach out to us and we will do what we can to make things right.
How do I exchange my empty carpet freshener shaker for a new one?
We're doing collection of empty jars at any of our in-person events! Please bring your used jar and we'll either give you a 50% off coupon code for you to use at a later date, or you can select a new one at the time of exchange, if we're not already sold out of our stock for the day!
Do you take custom orders?
We do, but please allow a minimum of 1-2 weeks for your order to be ready to ship to you. In order to ensure that we are consistently putting out a high-quality product, our candles require an ample amount of time to cure before they can be burned.
